A member of the Romulan race, Captain Max Torps was born in the Earth
year 2218. He strikes a cutting figure, standing fully one head taller than most of
his contempories the Romulan fleet. Captain Torps has been rated with a
Deviousness Quotient or DQ of 196 which makes him the most devious Romulan
alive today. His gifts in this regard have elevated him to the highest levels of the
Romulan hierarchy and he is believed to have the Praetor’s ear on many important
matters.
Like Captain EmeraldEdge, Captain Torps is rumored to have many business
interests throughout the Alpha quadrant. One of these is said to be the
StarfleetComms array which orbits a moon in the Tanisopia system. A collection of
impressive Romulan spying devices, this array relays secret communication
between starship captains thoughout the quadrant. Captain Torps guarantees that
no captain’s message will somehow be decoded and then sold to Romulan
intelligence agencies such as the Tal Shiar however he does charge a hefty fee for
his service. He is also heavily active in Romulan Ale production and one of the
by-products, "Blue Max Warp Core Cleaning Gel" (in both Lemon and Pine scents)
has been ’sold’ to rival militaries, notably decreasing their engine performance of
their ships in many cases.
Vicious and brutal, Captain Torps would be hard pressed to find a
match amongst his peers. Known to cripple one enemy vessel and then cloak and
lie in wait to destory any rescue vessels that arrive, he as a patient as he is
formidable.
