Myriad was born in the midwest of North America on Earth in 2233. Disillusioned by the ways of human culture, he moved to Vulcan in 2254 to study philosophy and science with some of the Vulcan greats, eventually adopting the Vulcan way of thinking... discipline and logic.
During his stay there, he was introduced to Spock, and maintained a brief but close relationship with the future Vulcan legend. Spock was very impressed with Myriad’s sense of logic, despite being human and told him it would be wise for him to join Starfleet to pursue scientific research.
After giving careful consideration, Myriad decided to enroll in Starfleet Academy in 2260 at the late age of 27. After graduating in 2264, he was assigned to the USS Columbia. During his service there in 2266, it was attacked by a group of Klingon renegades, where the captain and first officer were killed in the attack. Demonstrating a unique skill of command, Myriad commanded the Columbia in a 3 day battle that eventually captured or destroyed the Klingon vessels.
Starfleet was very impressed with Myriad. They promoted him to Captain, and gave him command of his own vessel, the USS El Dorado. A few years later, tensions with the Klingon Empire were in escalation, and Starfleet decided to build and commission some of the first Dreadnought starships for the fleet. Starfleet reassigned Myriad to the prototype USS Federation in 2270 at the age of 37. To this day, Myriad has been in command of this flagship vessel, after many refits and upgrades, participating in many missions of glory and prestige for the entire Starfleet and the Federation.

Myriad’s fighting style is best described as aggressive, tactical, and menacing. He however knows when to back down and not to put his crew in danger when the odds highly outfavor him. He has an excellent reputation for an unusually high photon torpedo hit rate. Through the study of the physics of the photon torpedo, he has been able to use his sensors, targeting systems, as well as some of the best tactical officers, to his advantage to increase his average hit rate by an amazing twenty percent. Opponents should beware of this. If they are to get too close to Myriad to strike, they may as well surrender ahead of time, or face the consequences.
