One of the youngest members of the Elite KAT fleet, Mako was born during the Lyran invasion of the Mirak Starbase 215. The first sight his young eyes saw when they first opened, was seeing his parents murdered by the unspeakable enemy, he was saved from death by a federation officer who shot the Lyrans who murdered his parents. Mako, being the sole survivor of the attack on Starbase 215, was adopted by the Federation officer and named Zo’or. At the age of 19 Mako enroled in Starfleet academy and was the first Mirak to graduate from it, near the top of his class too. Mako, under the name of Zo’or, took command of the USS Sakura, an FFB class frigate but he was soon given command of the USS Ayanami a BCG class cruiser due to his skill and leadership abilities. When Kzinti High Command got word of an unknown Mirak serving the Federation, they sent a Captain by the name of Speaker to find him. Captain Speaker encouraged Mako to join his brothers and fly for the Hegemony. Mako left the Federation and took cammand of the Mirak Starship Gundam Deathscythe a DF+ class destroyer. At this time Mako changed his name from Zo’or to a traditional Mirak name of Kuja. Mako excelled in a Mirak ship and was given command of the starship, Kzinti’s Warrior Pride an MDC+ class ship. Fueled with an anger that has raged all his life, he has never been known to retreat from a Lyran, no matter the odds. In the past he has been an unfortunate victim of a J’inn practical joke. The Mirak mischief maker had the missile launchers on Captain Mako’s ship welded closed before a combat excerise. When in combat, Mako’s first attempt to fire his missiles resulted in significant damage to Mako’s ship, an act that J’inn found highly amusing, even if Mirak High Command and Mako himself did not.
After many war campaigns and many victories with the Miraki Millitary, Mako was promoted into the Mirak’s Special Forces Squad, known as the Kzinti Assault Taskforce (KAT) there, with the help of his fellow KAT Fleet Members, he further developed his fighting skills.
Recently, new data was found on the families that died on starbase 215 and it was discovered that Kuja’s name was infact Mako. He now carries his family name with pride.

Mako’s primary belief about battle is that it should be quick, clean and elegant without waste. This being the case, Mako defeats his enemies swiftly and with style. The only time he does not follow this belief is when engaging Lyrans. When fighting Lyrans his emotions take total control of him and he fights highly aggressive, you better pray J’inn has welded Mako’s missile launchers shut when facing him. In battle, Mako employs both Federation and Mirak tactics which makes Mako a difficult foe to defeat.
