Baron Jukaga is not as well known outside of Lyran ranks as his
distant cousin Kzinbane, however he is just as popular among Lyran
ranks. Several Lyran journalists have suffered permanent injuries
whilst attempting to take pictures of Baron Jukaga and his wife on
holiday whilst at the Lyran pleasure and hunting world of Gliolan in
Golden Fang County. Note: It is rumored that several hunting grounds
on Gliolan have been bought by business interests of Romulan
antagonist, Emerald Edge. Possible confirmation of this rumor is the
discovery of the bodies of several dead Romulan political dissidents
found on the hunting fields.
Baron Jukaga’s fief is the Jukaga system in the Night Star County.
There several large shipyards produce War Destroyers and the
formidable gunboats or pseudo frigates that go with them. Baron
Jukaga is rumored to take some of these vessels on test runs into
Mirak space. Otherwise the system is also very well known for the
beautiful M class ringed moon of the only inhabitable planet of the
system Jukaga IV.
Strangely for a Lyran of such high rank, Baron Jukaga has been
known to leave his bridge during combat and participate in hit and
run raids and capture operations on enemy ships personally.
Extremely involved in Lyran politics, the Baron is as likely to be seen
speaking to LDR representatives as he is to Imperial Advisors. Never
safe from contreversy, several scandals have beset the Jukaga name,
some resulting in assasination attempts.
Many fear the Jukaga family’s ambitions, as a civil war for the throne
several hundred years ago resulted in the defeat of the Jukaga clan’s
bid, considered a prime contender for the throne at the time. Many
suspect that the Baron and his clan simply wish to seize the throne
entriely, and are simply using the clan’s sympathies for the Lyran
Democratic Republic to gain support among the people.
Baron Jukaga was inducted into the Golden Pride Fleet just before
the General War. The Golden Pride Fleet can be considered the elite
forces of the Lyran Empire and have been at the forefront of many
military expeditions. The captains of these ships are living legends.
In a certain bar in the Orion sector you may find a crazy old man
who mutters insanely about, "Golden ships everywhere surrounded
in fields of light." He is the only survivor of the last Golden Pride
campaign.

A formidable opponent who makes even Mirak cower
in fear, Baron Jukaga has his own distinct fighting style. His classical
style of fighting has been seen to make way for brilliant flashes of
tactical genius that have seen many enemy vessels meet their doom.
A peer of Baron Kzinbane, he is to be considered highly dangerous
in combat.
