S’faret was hatched in the Village of Ss’tork on the planet Ga’ock. As he approached the age of ascension the planet was attacked by the Rihannsu. The few Gorn that survived where taken to the Selta Avastam star system. Here Romulan nobles hunted the Gorn as wild animals amongst the planets jungles.
10 years passed, each a trial of survival. However the Gorn would never leave their people in such a situation. A Gorn commando raid on the planet allowed the Gorns still alive there to be freed. However, not before S’faret was able to extract revenge on his captors.
Upton his return to Confederation space S’faret promptly enrolled in the Command Academy. Upon graduation he was assigned to a number of smaller ships, frigates and destroyers. In Y157 (SFB) S’faret was promoted to the rank of Jr. Captain and given command of the heavy cruiser Kraagera. At this time she was undergoing an experimental refit that placed her plasma launchers on swivel mounts. (These upgrades where eventually incorporated into the plus upgrade for the heavy cruiser along with the more powerful plasma type S.
During this time the Confederation had encounter a new civilization, they called themselves the Federation. Early encounters with the Federation had led to fierce fighting around the star system Cestus. Many in the Gorn Space Command believed that the federation was in fact a new faction of the Rihannsu, and as such pursued a war against thme with vigor.
S’faret however was not so easily convinced. Unlike the Rihannsu, reports said that these federation ships tried to talk their way out of fights first. This was something S’faret had never seen form the Rihannsu. So with the help of his Secutiry Office, Grr’ssshuun, he set about with a plan. The Kraagera worked itself along the Federation border, also near known Rihannsu space. The Federation detected the Kraagera and responded with three small ships.
In a daring move, S’faret drove the Kraagera right at the federation ships, scaring them with the use of psuedo plasma. Making some high speed passes the Kraggera was able to knock down the shields on one of the Federation ships, the USS Loki. Once the shields where down the Gorn marines swarmed aboard and kidnapped about 20 Federation personnel. S’faret then turned tail and ran for the Gorn border.
Federation ships maintained hot pursuit and a game of hide and seek ensued for almost 10 days. During that time S’faret worked with his science staff and managed to overcome the linguistic differences of these two civilizations. One of the officers that had been taken was Captain Corban, the commander of the Loki.
Once a solid translation matrix was achieved S’faret began earnest discussions with the Federation Captain. It quickly became clear that this entire war was based on one mistake after another. So afte 10 days of chasing, Star Fleet received a message from Captain Corban, aboard the Kraagera. He informed Star Fleet of the situation and that he and the other officers wished to remain aboard the Kraagera until negotiations could be completed.
These negotiations led to the eventual treaty of Cestus that allied the Confederation and the Federation.
S’faret and the Kraggera where returned to Rihannsu border patrol after this incident, where for many years he was a true thorn in the Rihannsu’s side. When the Rihannsu brought out the first of their KR based ships, S’faret was quick to counter. He is created with the creation of the Gorn Shield Shredder tactic.
